Gary Wayne Cooper, 66, a longtime resident of Athens, TN passed away on Monday morning, October 8, 2018 at his home. He was born in LaFollette, TN on January 17, 1952 a son of the late Warren & Arizona Cooper. He was an honorably discharged veteran of the United States Navy.

Gary worked construction for the majority of his life and was retired from TDOT. The family is planning a memorial service at a later time.
