Gayl D. Nichols, age 65, of Shelby, passed away Monday, May 27, 2019 in Muskegon. She was born January 5, 1954 in Shelby to Jacob and Jennie (Groenink) Bush. Gayl married Charles Nichols on August 21, 1971.

She was a lifelong resident of Oceana County. Gayl had worked at Oceana Canning Company and New Era Canning Company and also at Arconic Corp. before her retirement.

She is survived by her husband, Charles; her daughters, Char (Kevin) Morse and Laura (Ryan) Jacobs; her grandchildren, Isaac Morse and Abram Morse, Maddison (Graham) Herin, Renza Jacobs and Dayden Jacobs; and her sister, Carol Binnendyk. She was preceded in death by her parents, her brothers, Paul and Jim Bush and her sister, Arlene Kuipers. A graveside service will be held Friday May 31st, 4 pm at New Era Cemetery with Rev.
