Mr. Gaylon Marze Rainwater, age 76 of McDonough, died Wednesday, January 16, 2019. He was preceded in death by his parents, Burnie and Annabell Rainwater; daughter, Sherry Olvey; great-grandson, Logan Davis; brothers, Michael Rainwater and Roger Rainwater. He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Barbara Rainwater; son, Steven Olvey; daughter and son-in-law, Shannon and Michael Tolleson; grandchildren, Amber, Trent, Courtney, Harrison, Olivia, Addie and Vivian; great-grandchildren, Ryleigh and Mason; sisters and brothers-in-law, Ann and Bob LeBel, Kathy and Tommy Hunt.

Mr. Rainwater was retired from Delta Airlines after 33 years of service and loved everything related to the aviation industry. He built one airplane, held a private pilot license, enjoyed skydiving and was an inventor. He loved his family and will be missed.

Funeral Services will be held Saturday, January 19, 2019 at 2 p.m. at Scot Ward’s Green Meadow Chapel with Pastor Butch Davis officiating; interment will follow at Green Meadow Memorial Gardens. Family will receive friends from 12 until 2 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home. Flowers accepted or those desiring may make contributions to the American Cancer Society www.
