Gaylord’s Obituary Gaylord Louis Liggins, Jr., was born on January 2,1962, to the late Gaylord, Sr., and Nettie Mae Liggins in Chicago, Illinois. Chicago, Illinois, is where Gaylord was raised and grew up. Gaylord was educated in the Chicago Public School System.
In 1985, upon graduating high school, Gaylord enlisted the US Military (Navy). Gaylord was released from active duty with an honorable discharge after serving his term. In 1989, Gaylord met the love of his life, Fannie Wilborn, in Chicago, Illinois.
In 1999, Gaylord and Fannie moved from Chicago, Illinois to Elaine,Arkansas. Here in Arkansas is where Gaylord called home. Gaylord was a very friendly person; he never met a stranger.
He was kind-hearted to anyone he met. Gaylord was loved by many people. Gaylord loved his family, and he loved spending time with them.
Gaylord was employed as a truck driver, driving trucks across the country. Gaylord departed this earthly life on February 2, 2019, in Pomona, California. Gaylord was preceded in death by his parents, Gaylord, Sr., and Nettie Mae Liggins, his grandparents, Nellie Jackson and Bill Russell, and one sister,Edna Liggins.
Gaylord leaves to cherish his precious memories: his wife, Fannie Wilborn Liggins; two sons, Louis Liggins of Elaine, Arkansas, and Keron Liggins of Berea, Kentucky; two daughters, Kayla Liggins of Bennington, Vermont,and Twymennia Liggins of Little Rock, Arkansas; one grandchild, Ava; four brothers, Carl (Bertha) Edmond, Jeffery Liggins, James Liggins, and Micheal Liggins of Chicago, Illinois; five uncles, four aunts; mother-in-law, Josephine McCraney of Helena, Arkansas; three sisters-in-law, seven brothers-in-law and a very large host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
