Gene Leroy Lee January 25, 1937 – January 3, 2019 Selma – Rev. Gene Leroy Lee, age 81, died January 3, 2019 in Barbour Court Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Smithfield. Born January 25, 1937 in Johnston County he was the son of the late Aaron and Edith Hatchett Lee.

Rev. Lee has been ministering the gospel for over 50 years and was ordained as a bishop in 2009. He was a member of Harvest Church of God of Prophecy and proudly served his country in the United States Air Force.

A memorial service will be conducted at 6:00 p.m. Saturday, January 5, 2019 in the chapel of Parrish Funeral Home with Bishop Eugene Hartley, Bishop Kenneth Lee, and Rev. Brandon Edwards officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00 6:00 p.m. Saturday just prior to the service.

Surviving are his wife, Maxine Collins Lee; son, Kenneth Lee of Princeton; daughter-in-law, Melissa Lee of Princeton; sisters, Juanita Harden of Raeford, Margaret Page and Jessie Simpson, both of Lake View, SC; grandchildren, Breanna Lee and Austin Lee; and great grandchild, Kaiden Jeremiah Lee. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be sent to Harvest Church of God of Prophecy, 33 Himself Court, Princeton, NC 27569.
