Obituary for Geneva Pugh Geneva F. Pugh, 99, formerly of Heatherwood Senior Living in Honey Brook and Romansville, went home peacefully to be with her Lord at her home in Harrison House, Coatesville on Sunday, September 16, 2018. Born in Modena on March 31, 1919, she was the daughter of the late Sara Rebecca (Becky) Meharg, wife of the late John “Jack” Meharg. Geneva was the wife of the late Albert J. Pugh, who died in 1973.

They were married on December 18, 1945. Geneva was a homemaker during her married years, and then worked as a hostess at the Ingleside Diner in Thorndale. In her younger years, she enjoyed traveling, going out to eat and crocheting.

In her later years, she sang in the choir at Heatherwood and became active in the Senior Citizens Program at East Brandywine Baptist Church. She enjoyed watching Jeopardy, Wheel of Fortune and the Phillies on TV. Surviving her is a sister-in-law, Florie Killinger; cousins, Flo McGowan, Janet Maher and Sandy Haas (John), who were her care-givers in the last few years.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Joan Ellen Meharg of Modena. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Thursday, September 20, 2018 at the Harris Mountain Funeral & Cremation Service, 1030 E. Lincoln Highway, Coatesville where relatives and friends may call beginning at 1 p.m. Interment will be in Hephzibah Cemetery, Coatesville. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Seniors Ministry of East Brandywine Baptist Church, 999 Horseshoe Pike, Downingtown, PA 19335.
