George D. Field Fabricator and designer of the Nashua Wood Stove; George D. Field, 87, a longtime resident of Pelham, New Hampshire, passed away peacefully Tuesday December 11, 2018 at Catholic Medical Center in Manchester, NH. He was the beloved husband of the late Mary E. (Chaff) Field. Born in Hudson, NH, January 22, 1931, a son of the late Francis H. and the late Eva M. (Gagnon) Field, he attended Hudson schools and was a graduate of Nashua High School in the Class of 1949.

A veteran of the Korean War, George proudly served his country as a Corporal in the U.S. Army as a member of the 4th Infantry Tank Company. George retired as a sheet metal fabricator with the former Metal Building Products in Nashua where he had worked for many years during which time he was designer of the Nashua Wood Stove. In addition he also worked at Garvin Industries and Centronics.

Among his several interests, George enjoyed sports, country music, wood working and desserts. George is survived by his two sons Kevin G. Field and Christy Brewster of Center Barnstead, NH and Gary W. Field and his wife Lisa of Manchester, NH; three grandchildren Keith Field, Matthew Field and Melissa Field; step grandchildren Austin and Ethan Hogan; a sister Patricia McAndrew and her husband Donald of Nashua, NH; a brother Louis Field and his wife Maryann of Hooksett, NH; many nieces and nephews. He was also predeceased by his brothers Roger Field and Robert Field.

Friends may call at the PELHAM FUNERAL HOME 11 NASHUA RD. in PELHAM from 4 to 7 P.M. Monday December 17, 2018. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Funeral Mass to be celebrated Tuesday morning at ST.
