OBITUARY George Edward Springfield Sr. June 27, 1932 – October 26, 2018 George Edward Springfield, Sr. of Gilbert, AZ formally from Joppa, Maryland left this world on October 26, 2018. He was preceded in death by his wife Reva Jo of 52 years and Sons, George Jr, Randy Douglas and Andy Wayne. George is survived by his children Dewinda Knauer of Manchester, MD, Michael Springfield of Manchester, MD, Timothy Springfield of Joppa, MD, and John Springfield of Gilbert, AZ.

George is also survived by 13 grandchildren and 14 great- grandchildren. George was an 18-year Army Veteran and lifelong firefighter of over 50 years with Annapolis Volunteer and Joppa Magnolia Volunteer Fire Companies. George excelled in every sport he played in his younger years.

He was a jack-of-all trades until he found his calling with Snap On Tools with over 35 plus years based in Harford County, MD. George was a member of many community organizations (American Legion, Elks Club, Optimist Club) to name a few. Every time George entered a room everyone always knew he was there because of his gregarious personality and quick wit.

Friends and family will be received at Schimunek Funeral Home – 610 W. MacPhail Rd. Bel Air, MD 21014 on November 3rd 2018 from 3pm – 5pm and from 7pm – 9pm. Services will be held at the same location on November 4th 2018 at 11 am with all invited to join in a celebration of his life immediately after at the American Legion – 415 Edgewood Rd, Edgewood Md 21040.
