Age 98, of Bethel Park, on Saturday, July 14, 2018. Beloved husband for 61 years of the late Dolores H. Wasson (Wuerl); devoted father of James W. (Evelyn) Wasson of Daniel Island, SC, Dan (Anita) Wasson of Pittsburgh and Gerry (Claudette) Wasson of San Diego, CA; loving brother and brother-in-law of the late Lawrence Walter and Alma M. Wasson; also survived by six grandchildren, eight great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. Mr. Wasson served as a Captain in the Army Air Corps during World War II, earned a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering at Carnegie Institute of Technology, and was employed by Mesta Machinery and US Steel.
George liked to say, “if you have any sense at all, have a sense of humor”. George was a longtime member of St. Anne Church and member and past president of the Serra Club of Pittsburgh. Friends may call at Laughlin Cremation and Funeral Tributes, 222 Washington Rd.
, Mt. Lebanon on Friday, July 20 from 4-8 pm. Funeral Mass will be celebrated in St. Anne Church on Saturday, July 21 at Noon.
Interment with Military Honors will follow in Queen of Heaven Cemetery. IN LIEU OF FLOWERS, memorials may be made to St. Anne Church, 400 Hoodridge Drive, Castle Shannon, PA 15234.
