George’s Obituary George Lewis Massey, 82 of Decatur, died at 5:07 p.m. Monday, May 20, 2019 at Liberty Village in Clinton. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, May 24, 2019 at the Arthur Cemetery with Rev. Ted Hartley officiating.

Shrader Funeral Home, 431 S. Vine Street, Arthur, is assisting the family with arrangements. George was born October 31, 1936 in Weldon, the son of Oscar and Margie Lyons Massey. He married Lynne Ray on February 8, 1991 in Decatur.

He is survived by his wife, Lynne Massey of Decatur; 4 children, Tom (Kim) Massey of Clinton; Jeff Massey of Arkansas; Tina Massey of Clinton; Scott (Dawn) Massey of Clinton; stepson, Rob (Lisa) Funk of Arthur; 6 brothers; 1 sister; 7 grandchildren; and 4 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, son, 4 brothers, and 1 sister. George retired from Decatur Firestone after 31 years, where he was a member of United Rubber Workers Local #713.
