Southbridge…George Merced, 56, died at home, Monday October 8, 2018. He leaves his children Christopher Merced, Dakota Seay, Selena Guerra all at home, his companion Christina Guerra (mother of Christopher) of Southbridge. He leaves his mother Mercedes (Aponte) Merced of Southbridge, his brother Alberto Merced of Southbridge, 4 sisters Lourdes Merced-Veber of Southbridge, Yolanda “Jolie” Hatzidis of Southbridge, Nancy Jones of Southbridge, and Wanda Merced of Southbridge,many nieces and nephews.

He was born in Worcester, April 15, 1962, son of the late Heriberto Merced, and has lived here most of his life. He was a member of Saint Mary’s Church (Saint John Paul II Parish) and graduated from Bay Path Regional Vocational High School, Class of 1981. He previously worked as a roofer, and enjoyed re-building automobiles, he was a car enthusiast, but most of all enjoyed time spent with his family.

A calling hour will be held from 5:30-6:30PM, Friday, October 19, 2018, at Sansoucy Funeral Home, 40 Marcy Street, Southbridge, MA 01550, with a prayer service to follow at 6:30PM with Rev. Juan Herrera. Burial will be private.
