Obituary for George R. Dunn George R. Dunn, 68, of Irwin, passed away Wednesday, January 9, 2019 after a brief but aggressive illness with cancer. He was born March 8, 1950 in Greensburg, a son of Ethel (Clugsten) Dunn of Irwin and the late George C. Dunn. He was a retired Certified Public Accountant that worked in the Irwin area, an avid pool player, and golf enthusiast.

In addition to his mother he is survived by his beloved wife Amy I. (Spangler) Dunn of Irwin; children George C. Dunn of North Huntingdon and Sara (Jeremy) Zufall of Norvelt; step daughters Rachael Streich of Pittsburgh and Jessica (Timothy) Wonderly of Ridgway; his brother Pastor Dwight (Connie) Dunn of GA and his sister Lorene (Dunn) Porthouse of FL; dearest pappy of seven grandchildren Alexia, Ava, Zane, Eli, Michael, Tucker, and June; nieces and nephews Hannah, Rachel, Brandon, Sean, Seth, and Nathan. Friends will be received from 1 to 3 and 4 to 6 p.m. Monday at the William Snyder Funeral Home Inc., 521 Main Street, Irwin, 724-863-1200, where a funeral service will be held 1 p.m. Tuesday with Pastor Dwight Dunn assisted by Pastor Seth Dunn officiating. In lieu of flowers a memorial contribution may be made to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 22478, Oklahoma City, OK 73123 per request of the family.
