George S. “Sammy” Cline March 11, 1947 – January 27, 2019 Share this obituary Send Sympathy Gifts Sign Guestbook| Send Private Condolences| Send Sympathy Card George Samuel “Sammy” Cline 71 of Langhorne, Pennsylvania passed away January 27th surrounded by his loving family. Sammy was born on March 11, 1947 in Hollywood, Florida to Leonard and Mary Edna (Doss) Cline. He graduated from South Broward High School, Hollywood and enlisted in the Navy in 1965.

He proudly served his country for 4 years as a radioman, third class petty officer. He was employed as an operating engineer for a local crane operator’s union in Miami, FL. Sam and his family moved to Jamesburg, NJ inf 1993.

They ran the Gulf Gas Station on Forsgate Drive where he met many people who became friends. He later ran for town council where he became council president and also served as the police commissioner. He was predeceased by his father Leonard and his brother Charles “Buddy” Cline.

Surviving are his beloved wife of 37 years Linda Shifflett Cline, his son Ryan and his fiance Jennifer of Pottstown, PA, his three daughters Michele Cline of Cummings, GA, Angela Cline of Sunrise, FL, Renee Kriesher and her husband Jamie of Langhorne, PA, his mother Mary Edna (Doss) Cline of Okeechobee, FL, his brother Randy and his wife Dawn of The Villages, FL, his six grandchildren Juliana, Dominic, Nina, Molly, Addison and Montgomery, sister-in-law Theresa and many nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at 5 p.m. Wednesday, January 30th at the Lester Memorial Home 16 W. Church St., Jamesburg. A gather of family and friends will be at the funeral home on Wednesday from 4-6 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Michael J. Fox Foundation at www.
