George Edward Tanner, age 61 of Holdenville, Oklahoma passed away December 6, 2018 in McAlester, Oklahoma. He was born January 24, 1957 to R.B. and Ailene Cooley Tanner in Salinas, California. George attended McAlester High School and then joined the Army and was stationed in Germany.

He was a rancher and enjoyed dancing, landscaping, farming, ranching, carpentry and going fishing. He is survived by his daughter Tiffany Morgan and husband Troy of Hugo, Oklahoma, sisters, Connie Lightle of Maricopa, AZ, Yvonne Zaragoza of Nebraska, brothers; Mike Tanner of McAlester, Rick Tanner of McAlester, Reno Tanner of Haileyville and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral service will be 1:00 PM Monday December 10, 2018 at Calvin Cemetery Chapel with Bill Baylock officiating. Services are under the direction of Hudson Phillips Funeral Home, Holdenville, Oklahoma.
