OBITUARY George Washington Rife March 28, 1928 – October 13, 2018 George Washington Rife, 90, a resident of Shenandoah, died October 13, 2018 at his home. A son of the late George K. and Helen Louise Rife, he was born on March 28, 1928 in Virginia. He worked for General Electric in the maintenance department for 18 years before retiring.

George was a member of New Life Gospel Church. He married Mary E. Taylor Rife who survives. Also surviving are three sons, Gary Rife of Shenandoah, Tom Starnes of Maryland, and George Rife, Jr. of Florida; one daughter, Debra Knight of Elkton; a number of grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and several sisters.

He was preceded in death by a brother and several sisters. The family will receive friends at their residence at any time or at New Life Gospel Church on Wednesday, October 17, 2018 from 1:00 until 2:00pm. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 pm Wednesday at the church with Pastor Tony Cubbage officiating.
