Obituary of George Dericks George F. Dericks, 96, of Woodland Park, passed away peacefully on October 29, 2018. He was born in Clifton on March 1, 1922 to the late Martin Joseph Dericks and Matilda Hageman. George proudly served in the US Navy during WWII and was involved in combat during the Battle of Normandy.

Later, he was an owner and operator of Dericks Plumbing and Heating company for many years before retiring. He was also a devoted parishioner at St. Bonaventure Church where he was a faithful servant. George was the dear brother of Doris Dowling and brother in law of Virginia Dericks.

He is also survived by many nieces and nephews and their extended families. George was predeceased by his brothers Edward and James Dericks and by his sisters Rita Valenti, Florence Kessel, Margaret Fisher and Sr. Theresa Dericks. Visitation will be Sunday from 2-5pm at Santangelo Funeral Home, 635 McBride Ave.

, Woodland Park. A funeral Mass will be offered on Monday at 10:15am at St. Bonaventure Church, 174 Ramsey St., Paterson. Cremation will be private by the request of the family.
