OBITUARY Georgianna Keogh Grant August 11, 1933 – September 3, 2018 Georgianna Keogh Grant of Croton-on-Hudson, NY died peacefully at her home of more than 50 years on Monday, September 3, 2018. Wife, mother, sister and friend to so many Georgianna was born August 11th, 1933 to Grenville Temple Keogh and Mary Emma Pallen Keogh in New Rochelle, NY. An exceptionally strong woman who served her community was loved by many, even her political allies alike.

Georgianna served as Croton-on-Hudson village trustee from 1990-2004 with a beginning political career in the 1970’s. Georgianna’s grandfather, Martine Jerome Keogh, was a NY State Supreme Court Judge who was the inspiration to her political passion. Georgianna was passionate about community and was active in national, local and environmental causes.

Even with a family so large, she embraced the Fresh Air Fund for many years to help and inspire children less fortunate. Georgianna was predeceased by her husband John Francis Grant and granddaughter Marta Fernandez; along with 6 brothers; Martin, Grenville, Conde, Robert, Peter and Michael and her sister, Mary Ellen McQuail. She is survived by her 8 children, Mary Ellen Fernandez, Teresa (Robert Cowell, Jr.), Susan (C.

James Dorien), Christine (John Newton), Michael (Peggy), John (Lisa), Martha (Michael Bellucco) and Timothy (Stacey). Friends may pay their respects at Holy Name of Mary Church, 110 Grand Street, Croton-on-Hudson, NY on Thursday September 6, 2018 from 4pm – 7pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00am on Friday, September 7th also at Holy Name of Mary Church in Croton.
