OBITUARY Georgie Ann Fontenot May 6, 1945 – August 30, 2018 God called our loving Mother and Grandmother home on Thursday, August 30, 2018. Georgie Spell Fontenot, 73, was a lifelong resident of Moss Bluff. She was a member of St. Theodore Catholic Church, where she faithfully attended 8:30 Mass.

She had a zest for life, never met a stranger, and everyone in her life knew they were loved. Her joys were fishing, cooking and her family, especially taking the grandkids out on the river. She was currently working for Calcasieu Parish School Board at Moss Bluff Middle School for 13 years.

She would never let anyone go hungry and will be remembered for her selfless nature; She liked doing for others more than doing for herself. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Joseph Spell, Jr. “Sonny”, Winford Spell, Alvin Spell, and Enos Paul “Nicky” Spell. Left to cherish her memory are her children, Kevin Kelly Fontenot and wife Rochelle of Reno, NV and Angie Fontenot Bonvillain and husband Jerry of Moss Bluff; grandchildren, Josh Viator, Adam Viator, Breanna Bonvillain, Forest Johnson, and Austin Johnson and his wife Stephanie; great grandchildren, Scarlet Rose Johnson and Aiden Rochelle Johnson ; and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members and her beloved work family.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 2pm, Monday, September 3rd in St. Theodore Catholic Church in Moss Bluff. Father Aubrey Guilbeaux will officiate. Interment will follow in New Ritchie Cemetery in Moss Bluff.

Visitation will be held 4 – 8pm Sunday with a recitation of the Rosary at 6 pm, and Monday, 11 am until time to leave for Mass.
