Gerald Dean “Pedro” Branaman, 67 of Norman, passed away Monday, December 4, 2018, surrounded by his wife and children. He was born in Clearspring, Indiana, on June 15, 1951, the son of the late Onis and Vivian (Gray) Branaman. He married his wife of 48 years, Betty Sumpter, on August 8, 1970, at Brownstown Christian Church and she survives.

He enjoyed watching Wheel of Fortune, hunting and playing Euchre. … Read More » He is survived by his wife, their children, Shelby (Michael) Miller, Sheila (Brian) Reynolds, Sonja Branaman and Seth (Julie) Branaman; grandchildren, Brandon and Jake Franklin, Noah and Allison Reynolds, Easton, Dawson and Corbin Branaman; brothers, Bernie (Delores “Dorsey”) Branaman, Darell (Julie) Branaman, Jerry (Carol) Branaman and Larry (Debbie) Branaman; sisters, Loretta McKinnon and Rita (Dwayne) Fleshman; brothers-in-law, Don (Jo) Sumpter and David (Deanna) Sumpter; sister-in-law, Sue (Marvin) Fleetwood; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; father and mother-in-law, James and Marie Sumpter; brothers, Kenneth Merle and Glenn Branaman; brother-in-law, Darrell Sumpter; and sisters-in-law, Sarah and Judy Branaman. Services will be conducted Saturday, December 8, 2018, at 2:00 p.m. at Winklepleck & Brock Funeral Home. Friends may call at Winklepleck & Brock Funeral Home on Friday from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and Saturday after 1:00 p.m. until time of service.

Burial will be at Clearspring Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the St. Vincent House of St. Vincent Hospital of Indianapolis.
