Obituary for Gerald Dean Ross Gerald “Jerry” Ross, 73, returned to his heavenly home on Tuesday, November 20th, 2018 after a long battle to many ailments. His devotion and firm belief in God supported him in his struggle and ultimately gave him peace. Jerry was born April 12th, 1945 in Duluth, Minnesota to Benjamin and Mable (Woodfork) Ross.
Jerry had a long and beautiful life filled with many great memories. He served in the United States Air Force, allowing him to travel throughout the world. He was a Chief Financial Officer until he retired at the age of 62, but that never stopped him from helping with the taxes of family and friends.
During the last few years of Jerrys life he got to spend time with his family, friends, and grandchildren. Jerry will be missed but would want us to celebrate the return to his heavenly home. Jerry was preceded in death by his father, Benjamin, and his mother, Mable.
He is survived by his 6 children, Dean (Autum), Chad (Stephanie), Keith (Heidi), Kay (Spencer), John (Minkyung), and Susan; his 8 grandkids, Drake, Calia, Savannah, Carter, Harper, Benjamin, Olivia, and Christina; his sister, Pat, and 3 brothers, Jim, Don, and Curt. The celebration of Jerry’s life will be held on Thursday, December 6th, 2018 at Gill Brother Funeral Chapel, 7300 42nd Avenue North, New Hope, MN 55427, at 11:00 am with visitation starting as early as 10:00 am. All are welcome to join us for the burial at Fort Snelling National Cemetery at 1:30 pm.
