OBITUARY Geraldine Delores Smith November 25, 1930 – January 27, 2019 Geraldine “Jeri” Smith passed away on January 27th 2019. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church.

Jeri was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Francis Joseph Smith, Sr., and her parents, John and Mary Condrott. Left behind to cherish Jeri’s memory are her children and their spouses, Kathleen and Waymon Benson, Patricia Walline, Susan and Kevin Wheeler, Francis Joseph Jr. and Julie Smith, Thomas and Marcia Smith, all of Chattanooga, and Brian and Angela Smith of Ringgold, 12 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, brother and sister-in-law, Jack and Precy Condrott, Redwood, CA. , sister-in-law, Frances Shackleford, East Ridge, and several nieces and nephews.

A Funeral Mass celebrating Jeri’s life will be held in the OLPH Church on Thursday February 7, 2019 @ 11:00 a.m. with Father Jim Vick officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service beginning at 10:00 a.m. in the Holy Family Hall. She will be laid to rest with her husband in the Chattanooga National Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial contributions in Jeri’s memory be made to either the Alzheimer’s Association or to Hospice of Chattanooga. Arrangements are under the care of Chattanooga Funeral Home Crematory and Florist East Chapel, 404 South Moore Rd. East Ridge, TN 37412.
