Geraldine E. Fredericks, age 76, died at home on March 9, 2019. A viewing will be held on Monday, March 11th from 4pm-8pm at Higgins & Bonner Echo Lake Funeral Home in Westfield. A funeral mass will be held on Tuesday, March 12th at 10am at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Mountainside.

A NJ native and 47-year resident of Mountainside, Geraldine was a talented seamstress and craftswoman who frequently amazed friends and family with her gifts of baby blankets, afghans, and stuffed animals. She had a keen ability with numbers and put it to excellent use while working in the Bursar’s Office at Fairleigh Dickinson University in Madison, where Geraldine was popular with both co-workers and students alike. She was also employed at Holy Trinity Catholic Elementary School in Westfield and AllState Insurance in Cranford Geraldine was well-known for her warm, kind and friendly demeanor.

A devoted wife, mother and grandmother, Geraldine’s greatest joy and happiness came from her family. She will be deeply missed by Richard, her loving and devoted husband of 51 years, as well as her daughters Michele, Sandra and Laura, Sons-in-Law Walter and Lorenzo, and grandchildren Eric, Nicholas, Samantha and Gina.
