Obituary Our beloved Geri was born on June 9, 1946 in Sawyerville, Alabama to the late George and Fannie Rhodes. On June 25, 1966, she married Henry James Bryant (who preceded her in death). Together they raised two daughters; Mattie M. Pamela R. Geri had a nurturing spirit from her teenage years from raising her younger siblings up until the time she fell sick.

Everyone knew her passion and favorite time was caring for more than 40 children over the past 50 years. Geri was preceded in death by her parents, 4 brothers, and 2 sisters. Those rejoicing in her memory are her children, Mattie (Andrew), Pamela; 2 Grandchildren, Dontrell and Evan; 1 Great-grandson Tony; 1 Sister, Rosie (Larry) Johnson; 3 Brothers, Sylvester, Perry (Gladys) and Leo (Audrey)Rhodes; her best friend Geraldine Hawkins.
