Geraldine Ashton, our sweet and beautiful Nana, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, April 28, 2019 at age 101. She is survived by three nieces, Jimmie Ruth (Bobby) Thomas, Jerry Masisak, and Margie Elmore; one nephew, Ray Griffin; caretaker and great niece, Ginger (Loyd) Davis; and many other great nieces, great nephews, great great nieces, and great great nephews all of whom she loved dearly. She is preceded in death by her husbands, Edward Parks and Richard Ashton; one daughter, Linda Gayle Parks; and siblings, Ernest Griffin and Lorene Lyles.

She retired from the State of Alabama. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star Ruth Chapter 3. Visitation will be Wednesday, May 1, 2019 from 2:15 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. with a funeral service to follow at 3:00 p.m. at The New Gardendale Funeral Home.

Burial will be at Moncrief Cemetery. The family wishes to express their appreciation for the wonderful care Geraldine received from the special staff at East Glen Rehabilitation Center. To send flowers or a memorial gift to the family of Geraldine P. Ashton please visit our Sympathy Store.
