Gerard Cunningham, 80, of Torrington, CT,formerly of Goshen passed away Sunday, December 2nd, at Charlotte Hungerford Hospital. He was the husband of 45 years of Audrey Hoencke Cunningham. Gerard was born in New Market Ireland, on January 31, 1938, a of the late Margaret (Fenton) and William Cunningham.

He has been an area resident since 1963. He was retired as Vice President for Marketing. An active member of Saint Bridget Church in Cornwall Bridge he served as a Trustee and member of the Hospitality Committee.

He was an avid reader and enjoyed woodworking. In addition to his wife, he leaves a son William Cunningham and daughter Anne Craig and husband Robert and their children Hannah and James, of Goshen. He also leaves a brother Liam Cunningham and sister Eleanor Power of Ireland, as well as several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be held 10:00 AM on Tuesday, December 11th at St Bridget Church 7 River Rd, Cornwall Bridge CT. with burial following at Saint Bridget Cemetery. Friends may call 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Monday, December 10th at Phalen Funeral Home in Torrington.
