Gertrude E. Lieberum April 28, 1927 – January 06, 2019 Share this obituary Send Flowers Upload Photo| View/Sign Guest Book| Send Private Condolences| Send Sympathy Card Gertrude Elizabeth Lieberum, 91, of McKeesport, passed away Sunday, January 6, 2019. She was born April 28, 1927 in McKeesport and was the daughter of the late Albert and Angela (Schibik) Thomas. She was the wife of the late Arthur Mark Lieberum who died January 14, 2000.

Gertrude was a member of the former St. John Lutheran Church in McKeesport. She served on church council, taught vacation bible school and also taught Sunday School for 31 years, leading children to Christ. She enjoyed gospel music, reading, and loved to do for others.

She is survived by her daughter, Janet (Edward) Baldridge of North Huntingdon, son, David Thomas Lieberum of Greensburg, , sister, Evelyn Shaw of New Stanton, grandchildren, Christian Lieberum, Nathaniel (Abbie) Lieberum, her most precious great-granddaughter, Grace Elizabeth Lieberum, and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brother, Howard Thomas, sisters, Marie Orman and Katherine Kreiling, and daughter-in-law, Tina Lieberum. Friends are welcome Wednesday, January 9, 2018 from 2-4 and 6-8:00 pm at the Gilbert Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 1638 Lincoln Way, White Oak.

Interment will follow in Mount Vernon Cemetery, Elizabeth Township.
