Ms. Gertrude “Gertie” Haynes Brown, 85, entered into eternal rest on Sunday, March 10, 2019. Residence: 58 Clemson St., Charleston, SC 29403. The relatives and friends of Ms. Gertrude “Gertie” Haynes Brown are invited to attend her funeral service on Saturday, March 16, 2019 11:00 AM at Old Bethel United Methodist Church, 222 Calhoun St., Charleston, SC 29403.

Interment: Monrovia Cemetery. Ms. Brown is survived by her children: Mr. James Haynes (Rosemary) and Mr. Tony Leroy Haynes (Cathy); sister, Ms. Anna Harley; grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends. Viewing for Ms. Brown will be on Friday, March 15, 2019 at The William M. Smith Memorial Chapel, 2 Radcliffe St., Charleston, SC 29403, where the family will receive friends from 6:00 to 7:00 PM.
