Danielson – Gisela Gitta Ilewicz of Danielson peacefully passed away on June 20, 2018 with her loving husband, John Ilewicz by her side. Gisela was born in Ohlau, Silesia, Germany on September 16, 1934, a daughter to the late Emma and Robert Britschock. She was married to John M. Ilewicz on November 28, 1957.

Gisela was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She enjoyed sewing, cooking, baking and spending time with her family. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her son James Ilewicz and wife Sheila of CT; son Robert Ilewicz of CT; daughter Christine Small and husband Richard of MA; nephew Fritz Britschock and wife Maryanne of CT; niece Gisela Gauthier of NH; grandchildren Jessica and Matthew Ilewicz, Cory and Ryan Small.

Gisela is predeceased by her brother Paul Britschock and sister Gertrude Gauthier, formerly of Hanover, CT. There will be a funeral service at the Gagne-Piechowski Funeral Home on Tuesday, June 26th at 10:00AM. Following the funeral service there will be a committal service and burial within the Pachaug Cemetary in Griswold.
