Giuseppina’s Obituary Giuseppina Ferraro went home to be with Jesus and Mary on April 13, 2019. She was a loving wife to Salvatore Ferraro until he went to his final resting place in 1986. Giuseppina was the eldest of ten children born to her parents Stefano and Immaculata Zoccoli of Santa Caterina, Provence of Catanzaro, Italy and had just celebrated her 95th birthday on March 19, 2019.

She was an avid gardener and an enthusiastic cook, delighted to have guests visit to enjoy the fruits of her labor. To cherish her memory, Giuseppina leaves her brothers Nick Zoccoli and wife Louise, Antonio Zoccoli and his wife Silvana, Monsignor Vincenzo Zoccoli, and her sisters Caterina Zoccoli and Assunta Pisani (Zoccoli). She is predeceased by her brothers Reverend Giuseppe Zoccoli and Luigi Zoccoli, along with her sisters Concetina Zoccoli and Concetina Miglio (Zoccoli).

Not having children of her own, Zia Giuseppina was a devoted aunt to many nieces and nephews including Stephen Zoccoli, Nicholas Zoccoli, Maria Buchta (Zoccoli), Joseph Zoccoli, Anthony Zoccoli, a beloved predeceased niece Catherine Zoccoli, Vanna Pisani, Stefania Pisani, Bruno Pisani, Simona Boscarino, PierCarlo Miglio, James Olesak, and their families. In her later years, nothing would give her more pleasure than visiting with her many grand nieces and nephews. Giuseppina was a faithful parishioner of St. Joseph‘s Church and a benefactor of Holy Apostle’s Seminary in Cromwell, CT.

Memorial donations in her memory may be made to Holy Apostle’s Seminary, 33 Prospect Hill Rd. , Cromwell, CT 06416. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, May 11, at 11 AM at Divine Providence Parish at St. Joseph Church.

Burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery. A calling hour will be held on Saturday morning from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at Erickson-Hansen Funeral Home, 411 So. Main St., New Britain.
