Gladys M. Crowe, 98, passed away Sunday, January 20, 2019 in Sterling Care at Frostburg Village. Born April 28, 1920, in Mount Savage, she was the daughter of the late Walter and Mary Agnes (Collins) Crowe. She was preceded in death by four brothers, Louis, Alfred, Wilbert “Reuben” and Reaford Crowe; two sisters, Martha Bramble and Rose Mary Smith.

She was the last member of her immediate family. Gladys was a former employee of Celanese Fibers Corp; she retired as secretary from the Dept. of Transportation, the Coast Guard Agency in Washington, D.C.

She was Protestant by faith and a member of the Mount Savage Senior Citizens. Gladys made her home with her cousin, George E. Burall. Surviving are nieces, nephews and cousins.

Family and friends will be received at Durst Funeral Home P.A., 57 Frost Avenue, Frostburg, on Friday, January 25, 2019, from 11 am to 1 pm. A funeral service will be held at 1 pm with Rev. George Harpold officiating.

Interment will follow in Restlawn Memorial Gardens.
