Obituary for Gladys Gomez Gladys Gomez, 79, went to home to her Lord Tuesday, June 12, 2018 in San Antonio, Texas. She was born September 15, 1938 in San Antonio to Josephine Lara Martinez and Gregory Gonzales. She married Andrew G. Gomez Jr. on December 21, 1955.

She is survived by her husband of 63 years Andrew G. Gomez, her aunt Angelina Vilbert, sister, Sylvia De Leon, her six children – daughter Debora Ann Kulpaca married to Jon Kulpaca; daughter Joyce Carole Hoover married to Billy Hoover; son Andrew III married to Sylvia Sendejo; daughter Jaqueline Gomez; daughter Ann Marie Gomez-Burreson married to Erick Burreson; daughter Jennifer Nicole Michelle Gomez married to Juli Gomez. Eleven grand-children – Jon Peter Kulpaca married to Meggin Kulpaca; Camille Kirsten Kulpaca; Katlyn Elizabeth Hoover married to Trey Rollins; Gunnar Michael Hoover; Maricella Katherine Gomez and Marques Andres Gomez; Taylor Casey Burreson and Jacey Lee Burreson; Jenna Lee Gonzalez, Jess Elle Gonzalez and Isabella Rose Stephens-Gomez. Two great-grandchildren – Colin James Kulpaca and Jackson Ryder Rollins.

Gladys was a long-time resident of the Dellview neighborhood where she lived since leaving her childhood home in Government Hill (Fort Sam Houston). She graduated from Brackenridge High School. She loved raising her family, gardening, cooking and was an avid reader.

She was involved with church Catholic ministries, especially the Legion of Mary at St. Gregory the Great. The family is celebrating her life at a memorial service from 2pm until 3:30pm on Friday, June 15, 2018 at St. Gregory the Great Catholic Church. The service will include a rosary and mass officiated by Monsignor Michael O’Gorman followed by a gathering at her home on Denton Drive.
