Gladys Miller Stout, 99, of 7098 Jordan Rd. , Ramseur, died Friday, July 27, 2018 at her residence. Funeral Services, 3 PM, Sunday, July 29, 2018, at First Baptist Church of Ramseur.

Officiating, Rev. Wayne Dunn. Burial, Sunset Knoll Cemetery, Ramseur.

Gladys was a native of Davidson County. She grew up in Asheboro and graduated from Asheboro High School in 1934. Gladys retired from Acme McCrary in Asheboro, was a member of First Baptist Church in Ramseur and loved her church.

Gladys was preceded in death by her husband, Russell Stout, son, David Charles Stout, parents, Pearlie and Fallie Hedrick Miller, sisters, Aileen Fox, Virginia Parrish, Mary Shoemaker, Betty Sue Luquire, and brother, Herman Miller. Survivors: , daughter, Diane Stout Smith, and husband, Joe, of Bear Creek, sons, Bill Stout, and Claudia Tutterow, of Greensboro, Rick Stout, and wife, Pam, of Asheboro, grandchildren, Ken Smith, Kevin Smith, Dana Descent, Kristy Phillips, Tyler Stout, Caleb Stout, eight great-grandchildren, four great-great-grandchildren, daughter-in-law, Mary Lee Savage and husband, Tommy, of Emerald Isle. The family would like to express a special thank you to the staff and nurses of Community Hospice.
