Glen Edward “Monk” Bevis age 74 passed away February 23, 2019. Glen was born November 14, 1944 to the late John Kempton and Amelia Bevis in Lancaster, Ohio. He grew up in Millersport, Ohio and spent much of his young life in Buckeye Lake area.

He was an avid sports fan and played multiple sports growing up. He loves the Ohio State Buckeyes. He served in the U. S. Navy and was proud of his service.

Glen moved to Warren, Michigan where he later retired with over 30 years service as head custodian for the Warren Consolidated School System. Proceeded in death by his wife, Valerie. Survived by son, John Bevis and daughter, Jennifer Bevis.

There are 5 step children, 10 grandchildren, including Robert Hilt and Lauren Bevis; 9 great grandchildren. Siblings, John (Judy) Kempton, Gloria Asbell and Gary (Cathy) Kempton. He has a host of extended family and friends.

An invitation to a Celebration of his life is extended and will be held Friday, March 1, 2019 at the MYERS-WOODYARD FUNERAL HOME, GROVEPORT, OH from 5 p.m. until service time at 7 p.m. Pastor James Blankenship officiating with honors from The U.S. Navy Honor Guard.
