Glen R. Anderson Glen R. Anderson, 84, of Geneseo, passed away on Monday, May 28, 2018, at Good Samaritan Society, Geneseo. A Funeral Service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, June 1, 2018 at First Lutheran Church in Geneseo. Reverend Matt Kamprath will officiate.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 31, 2018, from 4:00–7:00 p.m. at Vandemore Funeral Home & Crematory, Geneseo Chapel. Cremation will follow the Funeral Service and a private inurnment will take place on Saturday, June 2, 2018, at Oakwood Cemetery, Geneseo. Memorials may be directed to First Lutheran Church, AG in the Classroom or the Henry County 4-H Foundation.

Glen was born on November 26, 1933, the son of Willard and Bernice (Stotmeister) Anderson, in Geneseo, IL. He was a graduate of J.D. Darnell High School in 1951. Glen married Genevieve “Jenny” L. Rahmus on April 18, 1953, at First Lutheran Church in Geneseo.

They just celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary. He was a lifetime grain and livestock farmer in rural Geneseo. Glen was a lifetime member of First Lutheran Church and served on the church council.

He was also a member of the Henry County Farm Bureau, Henry County Pork Producers and was a charter member of the Geneseo Jaycees. In his free time, Glen enjoyed gardening and traveling with Jenny, driving his restored tractor and watching his grandchildren and great-grandchildren’s activities. Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Jenny, sons, Mark (Darla) Anderson, Geneseo, Wayne (Shelley) Anderson, Geneseo, and Dave Anderson, Hoffman Estates, IL, son in law, Gordon (Nikki) Rehn, Andover, IL, grandchildren, Eric (Tara) Anderson, Justin (Holly) Anderson, Auguste Anderson, Adam Anderson, Aaron (Keely) Anderson, Ashley (Garrett) Mangan, Katherine (Mike) Halm, and twelve great-grandchildren, Samantha, Isabelle, Bennett, Vivienne, Simon, Mason, Addison, Hudson, Raelynn, Shea, Grace and Andrew.

Glen was preceded in death by his parents, Willard and Bernice, his daughter, Linda Rehn and sister, Carol Eyrich.
