Obituary for Glen Thomas Rupert Rupert, Glen Thomas beloved father and grandfather, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 17, 2018. Tom was born on August 14, 1946, in Minneapolis, MN, and was raised by his mother, Georgia (Legler) Rupert. In 1967 Tom married Vicky (Munden) Rupert and together they had two children, Darcy and Ken.

In 1985 Tom married Elizabeth (Betsy) Thompson and created a family with their combined five children. Tom often spoke fondly of his memories of working on the farm of his Aunt Dorothy and Uncle Lloyd as a teenager. He loved his career in armed security at Pinkerton and his dog, Kuno, until a work injury, which lead him to his career as an accident investigator.

His greatest love, however, was his family. He is survived by his children: Darcy (Jarred) Carlsen, Ken (Julie) Rupert, David Thompson, Jon Thompson and Anne (Jonathan) Neu; grandchildren: Nick, Samantha, Tommy, Danny, Michael, Chris, Stephanie, Jacob, Jackson, Elizabeth, Abigail and Katie; great-grandchildren: Jaxon and Bentley; brothers and sisters: David (Connie) Rupert, Michael (Marcy) Rupert, Judy Jonas and Peg Wally; and many nieces and nephews. Tom is preceded in death by his wife, Betsy; mother, Georgia; sister, Mary McDonough; brother-in-law, Ken Jonas; and son-in-law, Jonathan Neu.

A memorial service will be held on Monday, April 23, at 2:00, with visitation beginning at 1:00, at Washburn- McReavy Funeral Home, 1827 Coon Rapids Blvd. , Coon Rapids, MN, 55433. Luncheon will follow.
