Mrs. Glenda Jean Holcomb Brewington, age 81, of Cookeville, passed away Saturday February 23, 2019 at Bailey Manor in Cookeville. Glenda was born January 15, 1938 in Pollard, AR to the late Sidney and Geneva Branson Holcomb. She was member of Samaria Church of Christ.

Glenda and her late husband Riley Brewington, were the co-owners of the B& B Grill. She later worked for KMart and retired after 20+ years of service. Glenda was an excellent cook and enjoyed gardening and canning.

She loved spending time with family and friends. She is survived by her daughter, Sherry (Charles) Hardee, son, Stuart (Luciana) Brewington, all of Cookeville; three brothers, Dewey (Paula) Holcomb, Max (Sonya) Holcomb, and Steve Holcomb, all of Piggott, AR; six grandchildren, Tavia (Gabe) Stephenson, Tamra (Corey) Nichols, Tessa Benefield, Andrew Howard, Edu and Eduardo Honesko; five great-grandchildren, Nash and Nora Nichols, Wes Hardee Stevens, Cole and Max Stephenson; seven sisters-in-law, Sue Holcomb, Byrda Steward, Tootsie Dunn, Eulene Holmes, Willene Jackson, Judy Hoskins, and Hazel Brewington; one brother-in-law, Jimmy Brewington; and special niece and caregiver, Denise Coffey. In addition to her parents, and husband; she was preceded in death by a brother, Gary Holcomb.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday February 26 at Dyer Funeral Home. Bro. Kevin Daughrity will officiate.

Interment will follow in the West Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday from 4 – 7 p.m. and again Tuesday from 10 a.m until service time. Memorial donations may be made to Alzheimer’s of Tennessee 1459 Interstate Drive Suite 211, Cookeville, TN 38501.
