Obituary for Mr. Glenn O. Rowe Glenn O. Rowe, 91 of Navasota, passed away Saturday, April 21st at CHI Grimes St. Joseph Hospital in Navasota. Visitation with family and friends will be held from 5:00 – 7:00 pm, Thursday, April 26th at Nobles Funeral Chapel. A celebration of his life will be at 2:00 pm.

, Saturday, April 28th at First Baptist Church of Navasota with Rev. Clyde Larrabee officiating. Interment will be in the Houston National Cemetery on Tuesday, May 1st at 11:15am.

Arrangements are under the direction of Nobles Funeral Chapel. Glenn was born in Bear, Arkansas on January 15, 1927 to Clarence Oliver and Mary Blanche (McCaslin) Rowe. He proudly served his country as a Seaman First Class in the U. S. Navy.

Glenn married Bennie Sue Milholen and together they raised three children. He worked as a food broker for Imperial Sugar for 40 years; served as President of HGMRA, Texas Spurs, Retail Grocers Association. He was a member of Play, Praise and Travel Club, sponsored by the First Baptist Church of Navasota, a 42 Club and a Social Security Social Club.

Glenn was a member of Fist Baptist Church of Navasota and served as a Deacon and was on many committees throughout the years. He worshipped the Lord every day. He was a 50+ year member of the Masonic Order and served as Master of S. P. Waltrip #1328 and a Life Member; a past Master of Navasota Lodge #299; served as District Deputy Grand Master, District 29B.

, Chapter #3 and Council #7; The American Legion, McClusky Post 649; Waller Chapter #1047 Order of the Eastern Star (endowed member); was a past Patron many times and loved every minute of it. He served the Grand Chapter of Texas on many committees, one was Grand Representative of Minnesota in Texas, his counterpoint was Dale Smith of Minnesota. Dale and Glenn hit it off from the moment they met, as well as his wife Iretta and so many of the others in their Grand Chapter.

Glenn was also a member of the White Shrine of Jerusalem, Cross of Texas Shrine #1 and served as WOS several times. He loved deer and duck hunting, fishing, watching football and baseball, as well as western movies and reading western books. His greatest love of all was having his children, grand children, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren visit.

Glenn leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife of over 71 years, Bennie Sue Milholen Rowe; daughters and son-in-law Glenda and Bill Klemm and Gina Rowe Battles; son and daughter-in-law Gary and Lana Rowe; sister Marquette Puckeutt; sister-in-law Teen Rowe; grandchildren and their spouses Connie Edwards, Shelley Rowe Poer and Evan, Shawna Rowe Lyles and Sean, Travis McAnally and Kathy, Melissa Noland, and Gary Rowe, Jr.; 13 great-grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren; four step great-grandchildren and one great-great step grandchild; sisters-in-law and their spouses Betty Milholen Crowder and Charles, Wilma Milholen Mize and Dale and brother-in-law Hearl Milholen and Betty. Serving as pallbearers are Travis McAnally, Gary Rowe, Jr., Sean Lyles, Evan Poer, Steven and Jeffery Mize and Larry Rowe. Honorary pallbearers will be the Deacons of First Baptist Church of Navasota.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother Wayne Rowe; sister Clara Mae Rowe Smith and husband Lee; father-in-law William Elmer Milholen; mother-in-law Nancy Olive Norman Milholen; two brothers-in-law Russell Milholen and wife Della and Tony Burl Milholen, and a host of other relatives and friends. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Glenn’s memory to the First Baptist Church of Navasota. The family would like to thank Dr. C. H. Prihoda and all of the staff at Grimes St. Joseph for the excellent care provided to Glenn.
