She is survived by her daughters, Connie Ayo (Mike), Nena Matherne (Eric), and Brenda Moran (George); sister, Betty Langley; grandchildren, Jennifer Ayo, Christopher Ayo (Wayne), Dawn Meyer (Brett), and Ryan Matherne; great-grandchildren, Matthew Olivier, Drew Meyer, and Beau Meyer. She was preceded in death by her husband, Alvin P. Collins; parents, Harris and Cornelia Galliano Cheramie; step-son, Alvin Collins Jr.; step-daughter, Thelma Marie Smolinski; brother, Harris “Murphy” Cheramie Jr..
