OBITUARY Gloria Deanne Dill January 1, 1947 – December 25, 2018 Dill, Gloria D., 71, retired National Weather Service Administrative Assistant, loving wife, mother and grandmother, met Jesus face to face December 25, 2018. Gloria was a kindhearted and caring woman. She spent countless hours helping both people and animals in their times of need.

She was an active member of the Pleasant Valley United Methodist Church; she helped with their ESL program, taught Sunday School, and Children’s Clothing drive among fulfilling many other roles for the Church. She was a dedicated mother and was very active in her son’s lives. She served on the PTA, Booster Club, Pack Leader in the Cub Scouts, and later helped the Fraternity Mom’s Club.

She loved concerts, dancing, spending time outdoors, camping, and made the best fried chicken. She was a happy, social, and sweet woman who will be dearly missed by all those who knew her. She is preceded in death by her parents, Russell Mellies and Ruby Leonard-Mellies-Hodgson; brother, Craig Mellies; and step-family, Paul Hodgson, Janalyn McMurphy, Marilyn Gooch, and Sharon Hildreth.

She is survived by her husband, Robert “Bob” Dill; sons, Ryan (Fing) Dill and Brad (Arien) Dill; grandchildren, Taylor and Colin Dill; sister, Sylvia (Craig) Wagerle; and step-brother, Roger Hodgson. Memorial donations may be made in Gloria’s name to the Alzheimer’s Association, 1820 E Douglas Ave, Wichita, KS 67214, www. alz.org.
