Obituary for Gloria Horn (Haubert) Gloria Eileen Horn, 92 of York, PA, died at Pleasant Acres Nursing Home on April 24, 2018. She was the husband of the late Herbert R. Horn. Born November 9, 1925 in Philadelphia, PA, she was the daughter of the late Harry and Elsie (Stallman) Haubert.

She was a retired cafeteria worker for the York Suburban Middle School. Gloria lived most of her life in York and particularly enjoyed her years living by the Susquehanna River, fishing and boating with friends, family and especially her grandchildren. Gloria’s next adventure took her to Green Valley, Arizona where she lived for nine years before returning home to York.

She was a 1943 graduate of York High School, and loved playing bingo and the slots. Gloria is survived by a son, Terry L. Horn and his wife Carla of York, PA, three grandchildren, Timothy Horn, Marcie Hauck and Katie Godfrey, twelve great grandchildren and a great great granddaughter. She was preceded in death by a son, Herbert R. Horn, Jr. and a granddaughter, Tracy Miller.

Following cremation, a memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, May 1, 2018 at the Etzweiler Funeral Homes and Cremation Service, 1111 E. Market St. York, PA. A visitation will be held from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Indian Steps Museum, 205 Indian Steps Road, Airville, PA, 17302.
