RUSSELL, Gloria Jean, age 70, born July 11, 1948, passed away July 11, 2018. Gloria accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior at an early age and was baptized at Mt. Olive Baptist Church.

She later became a faithful member of Central Missionary Baptist Church where she was the Minister of Music and Director of the Children’s Choir. Gloria graduated from Dunbar High School in 1966 and retired from Delco Products after many years of service. She was an avid bowler and had a passion for fishing.

Gloria was a devoted mother, grandmother, partner and friend. Preceded in death by her parents, William Vincent and Indastine Daniels. She is survived by her significant other of 27 years, William Weems; sons, Morris (Dana) and Tony (Aaliyah) Russell; siblings, William C. and Kenneth (Kay) Daniels, Rosezetta (Robert) Brooks, Carolyn (Michael) Wilson; grandchildren, Tony Jr., Aryanna, Lyric, Avery; and will be missed by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Funeral service will be held 1 pm Friday, July 20, 2018 at Central M. B. Church, 5160 Derby Rd. Rev. Raleigh Trammell officiating.

Visitation 10 am at the church until time of service. Family will receive friends one hour prior to service. Interment West Memory Gardens.
