Delafield, WI Gloria M. Mayra, 83 a resident of Delafield, Wisconsin, and former resident of Hancock passed away Thursday, February 7, 2019 at Angels Grace Hospice in Oconomowoc, Wisconsin. She was born on January 15, 1936 in Hancock, the daughter of the late Aimo and Dolores (Johnson) Aho. Gloria was raised in Hancock and was a graduate of Hancock High School.

She moved to Delafield in 2014 to live closer to her daughter and family and to be close to the doctors who were caring for her. Gloria was married to Marvin Mayra on May 29, 1954. She worked in the insurance industry for many years, first at the Leo H. Roy Agency and then at the Nicholas Insurance Agency.

Our mother and grandmother passed along her passion for cooking which we dearly treasure. She deeply loved her family, had a great sense of humor and always ready for a great adventure. Preceding her in death were her parents and her husband.

Surviving are her children: Michael (Lisa) Mayra of Troy, Michigan; Lyn (Douglas) Owsiak of Delafield, Wisconsin: Grandchildren: Nickolas (Kristine) Mayra, Jeffrey(Lesley) Mayra, Nina (Rich) Kelly, Michael (Meggie) Owsiak, Sarah (Carlos) Farias, and Rachael (Christopher) Fehrenbach. Great grandchildren: Emerson and Holden Mayra; Noah, Koen and Maggie Mayra; Isabelle and Crosby Kelly; Griffin and Evy Farias, Owen Owsiak and Juliette Fehrenbach. Her sister Marcia (William) Malinowski and nieces, nephews and dear friends.

A memorial service for Gloria will be held at 11 am on Saturday, March 30 at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church in Hancock. Friends may call on Saturday at the church at 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Those who so desire may make memorial donations in memory of Gloria to the Gloria Dei Lutheran Church in Hancock.
