OBITUARY Gloria Seal Jordan November 23, 1945 – December 28, 2018 Gloria Seal Jordan, 73, of Poplarville (Crossroads Community), Mississippi, passed away Saturday, December 28, 2018 in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, surrounded by her family. Mrs. Jordan was born November 23, 1945 in Poplarville, Mississippi to Clarence and Minnie Green Seal. She was retired from Stennis Space Center after 42 years of service.

During her career at SSC, she served in a variety of important roles, including Propellants Coordinator for rocket propulsion testing. Throughout her time at SSC, she had a positive impact, not only on the space program, but also on everyone around her. She was a lifelong member of Bethel Baptist Church.

Above all, she was a loving and dedicated mother, grandmother, and friend to many. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband 42 years, Jerry B. Jordan; two sisters, Jackie Seal and Dale Seal Carrier, and beloved brother-in-law, Louis Carrier. Family members include three children, Kimberli Mims Hathorn (Mark), Michael Mims (Gaye), Jeremy S. Jordan; grandchildren, Emily Mims Clark, Grant Mims, Dylan Hathorn, Anabelle Jordan, Avalynn Jordan; two great grandchildren, Isabella Hathorn, Jordan Lee Clark; sister, Dorothy “Dot” Seal Rester (Gene), and a host of nieces, nephews, and extended family.

Funeral services will be held at Bethel Baptist Church on Thursday, January 3, 2018 at 11:00 am. Rev. Billy Kent Smith will officiate.

Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends and have visitation from 6:00 pm until 9:00 pm, Wednesday at the church. White Funeral Home, Poplarville (601) 795-4982.
