Sheriff (Ret. ) Glynn Cooper, 84, of Cusseta, GA, passed away on Thursday, July 12, 2018, at Columbus Hospice in Columbus, GA. Funeral services will be held at 11:00am on Monday, July 16, 2018, at the Roscoe Robinson Center in Cusseta, GA, with Dr. Brad Hicks and Rev.

Mark Hudson officiating. Burial with Masonic Rites will follow the service at Parkhill Cemetery in Columbus, GA. The family will greet friends at the funeral home on Sunday, July 15, 2018, from 6:00-8:00pm.

He is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Glynda and Dennis Roberts of Buena Vista, GA; by a brother, Drane and Evelyn Cooper of Cusseta, GA; by a brother-in-law, Henry and Loretta Nelson of Cusseta, GA; by two sisters-in-law, Bertha and Lonnie Barlow of Cochran, GA, and Helen and Carl Dorminey of Columbus, GA; by two grandchildren, Jami and Casey Shivers and Laci and Jeff Holguin, all of Buena Vista, GA; and by four great-grandchildren, Jeanna Kate Shivers, Clara Grace Shivers, Grant Holguin, and Callen Holguin. Several nieces and nephews also survive. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Cusseta First Baptist Church, P. O. Box 369, Cusseta, GA, 31805, Columbus Hospice, 7020 Moon Road, Columbus, GA, 31909, and the Georgia Sheriff’s Boys Ranch, Attention: Development Division, P.O. Box 1000, Stockbridge, GA 30281.
