Obituary for Mr. Gordon David Hart Gordon David Hart, 42, of Saint Michael, MN passed away on July 2, 2018, after a short but courageous battle with cancer. Gordon was born on July 22, 1975, in Cedar Rapids, IA, to Charles and Ruth (Couture) Hart. Gordon graduated from LinnMar High School in Marion, IA in 1993.
He held various positions at Hy-Vee Food Stores, Mattel Interactive and Sarin Systems Productions through 2001. Gordon graduated from Full Sail University in Winter Park, FL in 2002 with an Associate of Science degree in Show Production and Touring. He worked for Midwest Concert Concepts as an Audio & Lighting Technician in Superior, WI from 2003 to 2004.
In 2004, he moved to Minneapolis, MN and began working for Select Comfort (Sleep Number) and continued with them for 14 years. He held several positions during his career at Sleep Number, starting in the Loading Dock and ending in Information Technology. Gordon married Annette Anderson on June 17, 2006, and they moved to Plymouth, MN.
They had two precious children – Cody (10) and Cara (6), who lit up their lives and gave them such joy. Their family resided in Otsego and Saint Michael, MN. Gordon is survived by his wife, Annette; his children, Cody and Cara; his parents, Charles and Ruth Hart of Canon City, CO; his sister, Jeannette Willox of Canon City, CO; nephew and niece, Andy and Annie; uncle and aunt, Jim and Kathi Couture of Wheaton, IL; and several cousins.
He was preceded in death by grandparents, Bert and Wilma Hart; grandparents, Robert and Jean Couture; and aunt, Carol Couture. Gordon enjoyed spending time with his children, music, technology, and Iowa Hawkeye football. He had a strong faith and had no question where he was going after leaving his earthly home.
Gordon will be incredibly missed by all who loved him dearly. A celebration of life will be held Thursday, July 12, 2018, at 2:00pm with visitation one hour prior, at Northridge Fellowship, 12522 Main Street, Rogers, MN. Refreshments will be served following the service.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to an established college fund for Cody and Cara.
