Obituary for Gordon Moore Forbes FORBES, GORDON MOORE, 74, passed away June 14, in Clermont. He is pre-deceased by his mother, Lilian Moore Doland of Clermont, and is survived by his wife of 54 years, Elizabeth (Betty Lou) Forbes; their two sons, Christopher James Forbes (Jennifer), and Jeffrey Carlisle Forbes (Leslie); and three grandchildren, Sam, Jacob and Finnegan. Gordon graduated from Clermont High School in 1961, and was a founding graduate of Florida Technological University which is now UCF, in 1972.

He owned and operated three businesses in Southwest Orange County: Acclaim Hair, About Hair, and Salon On The Green. He was a Board Member of the Edgewood Children’s Ranch and the Orange County Regional History Center. He was a longtime member of Bay Hill Country Club, St. Luke’s United Methodist Church, and a former member of the Orlando Board of Realtors.

Memorial services will be held on Monday, June 25th at 2:00 PM, at St. Luke’s United Methodist Church, 4851 South Apopka-Vineland Road, in Windermere, FL. Donations may be made to the Edgewood Children’s Ranch or the Orange County Regional History Center in his name. DeGusipe Funeral Home, Ocoee, FL, is handling arrangements.
