OBITUARY Grace Johnson May 3, 1924 – October 29, 2018 Grace (Smith) Johnson, 94 of Hyannis, formerly of North Falmouth, peacefully passed on October 29, 2018. Grace was predeceased by her husband of 53 years, Robert S. Johnson. Born in Fall River, Grace graduated from the Northfield Seminary for Girls in 1942 and later attended Boston University School of Nursing.
She also worked as a courier for MIT during World War II. Grace worked alongside her husband at his land surveying and civil engineering company, Landmark Engineering. They moved the family permanently to Cape Cod in 1971.
She is survived by her daughters Nancy L. Johnson of Ft. Pierce, FL and Linda Klimm and her husband Mark of Hyannis; grandsons Robert C. Cecil & his wife Tracey; Daniel A. Cecil & his wife Talor of Ft. Pierce, FL; granddaughters Stephanie G. Klimm and Cynthia B. Feeley of Hyannis; and great grandchildren Jordan, Christopher, Collin, Dean, Sammy, Liliana, Sidney, Ryanne and Jason.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests you make a donation in Grace’s honor to the American Heart Association or West Yarmouth Congregational Church. Interment will follow at a later date. Arrangements by the Nickerson-Bourne Funeral Home 40 MacArthur Blvd.
