POOLER, Grace Lynn (Carpenter), age 59, born November 11, 1958 in Dayton, Ohio, the second of four girls, departed this life unexpectedly Thursday, April 26, 2018 at Miami Valley Hospital. She was a graduate of Nettie Lee Roth High School, Class of 1977 where she obtained a Cosmetology license. During Grace’s youthful life, she loved doing hair and traveling to all parts of the world.

Grace had the biggest heart and an unforgettable smile. However, Grace was a very diligent and industrious worker all her life. After 25 years of dedicated service to General Motors, she later retired.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Grace (Thompson) Carpenter. She leaves to cherish her memories and celebrate her legacy: Significant other, Greg Oliver; her devoted and loving sons, Frank Pooler of Baltimore, D, Gregory and Jeffery Pooler, Sr. (Ladonna Herd) and her ex-husband of 12 years, the father of her children, Gregory Pooler; stepdaughter, Shayna Harvey of Dayton, OH; three sisters, JoAnne and Kathleen Carpenter of Dayton, OH and Lenora Carpenter of Hampton, VA; nine beautiful grandchildren, Jeffery Jr., Jayana, D’Naizha, Ja’Nesha, Kiara, Ja’Brea, Gregory, Kennya and Joseph Pooler; one great grandson, Brennan Smith; special niece & nephew, Lenora White & Quincey Carpenter; two great nieces, D’Miah and Dynasty Blush; God daughter, Jamicka Wright; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Funeral service will be held 11 am Friday, May 4, 2018 at the House of Wheat Funeral Home, Inc., 2107 N. Gettysburg Ave.

Pastor Gregory Pooler officiating. Visitation 9 am at the funeral home until time of service. Family will receive friends one hour prior to service.

Interment West Memory Gardens.
