Passed from this world to the next on July 17, 2018, she was 101 years old. Grace was the daughter of James L. and Anna Mary (Entress) Geary and the sister of James F. Geary who predecease her. Grace grew up in Pittsburgh on Suncrest Street and attended Seaton Hill University in Greensburg, PA.
In 1940 she married Karl W. Wiedt, Jr. and together they raised their six children in Mt. Lebanon. In 1971, they moved to their farm, “The Pillars,” in Washington County.
Grace is the dear mother of Mary Ann (late Paul III) Wellener, the late Karl W. (Sandra) Wiedt III, James G. (Nancy) Wiedt, Kathleen T. (L. Douglas) Fullen, Sara E. Wiedt, and Thomas G. Wiedt; Grace was the grandmother of 19 and the great grandmother of 40. The family wishes to extend sincere gratitude to the loving staff at Asbury Place and Asbury Nursing Center for the care that Grace received.
Friends will be welcome at Laughlin Cremation & Funeral Tributes, 222 Washington Rd. , Mt. Lebanon on Friday from 3-7pm and are invited to celebrate Grace’s beautiful spirit and long wonderful life at her funeral mass at St. Bernard Church on Saturday at 10am.
In lieu of flowers please remember Grace by doing something fun and special for another person.
