Grace Loraine Stenson Wilhelm McDowell Born – Holly Hill, Fl. 11/01/28 Oldest daughter of Harold Stenson and Ruth Singleton Stenson. Went to school in grades 1-3 locally and moved to N.Y. State with her father.

Graduated from high school in Treadwell, N.Y. returned to Florida and worked as a waitress, Bartender, cashier-some of the employers were(with former locations)Morris Drug Store on Beach St., Ralph’s Steak House on Beach St. and Ralph’s Beach Steakhouse on So. Atlantic, Diana Shops on Beach St., Winn Dixie on Madison Ave, and Westgate Plaza, The Derby at Westgate, the Embassy Lounge on Beach St., Met’z Lounge in Daytona Beach Shores, Lerner shop on Beach St., and Volusia Mall, Manager of Sun Glow Cottages on So Atlantic. Grace was an avid Sports fan who loved Baseball, Football, Basketball, Nascar, Country Music.

She loved to dance and read books. She belonged to social clubs including Port Orange Eagles #4089, Port Orange VFW Aux. #3282, Women of The Moose #2170, and Port Orange Elks #2723.

Grace was previously married to Nathan Frasier and had 2 children, Norma & Larry. She married Dale Wilhelm and had 1 child Laura. They were married 30 years.

Dale passed away in January 1998. She married Robert McDowell in February 2001. Robert passed away on August 5, 2008 at Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, Fl.

Robert children are Donna Lynn, Shawn, and Robert. Grace is predeceased by her daughter Norma Barber, Mother Ruth Winn, Stepfather Elmer Winn, Father Harold Stenson, Stepmother Marion Stenson, Sister Freda Scavo, and Sister Amelia Shearer Ruran. Surviving Grandchildren are Dawn, Derick, Sonja, Jessica, Brad Cross and Dalton Mitchell, and Kelsie & Kayla McDowell.

Surviving Sisters are Frances, Janice, Sandra,Sharon & Nadine, and Brother Harold. All reside in and around Oneonta, N. Y. Granddaughter-in-law Corrie Cross, Great grandchildren Natalie Cross, Cole Cross. Condolences and Memories are welcome to be shared with the family VIA this online guest book.
